Bill's Tax Service, Norco
The Norco office opened for business in November of 1998. At that time, Bill's Tax Service, Norco was open only three days a week as Meg Shields divided her time between the new business, family, and school. By the following year however, the 25 original clients had more than doubled to 65. This process continued steadily each year, simply by word of mouth.
Currently Bill's Tax Service now handles over 800 clients ranging from the Individual tax filer to Corporations and Partnerships.
The original office was located on Second Street, and due, in part, to Meg's dedication to family and love for children, she integrated a large Kid's Room within that workspace. This practice has continued within her new location where a kitchen, study area, and video entertainment system have been incorporated into the office space. Meg's business philosophy is not simply to deliver quality, professional service, but to provide an enjoyable environment where her clients can bring their families.
Bill’s Tax Service held residency in the Second Street location for nearly 10 years, however its continued growth prompted a move to a larger, more central location in July 2006. The Grand Opening was held in August of 2006 at the new 1665 Third Street location in Norco and after signing a ten year lease, Bill’s Tax Service Norco, will be your neighbor until 2017.
Although Meg Shields received her Tax Preparers License in 1998, she strove to increase her knowledge of taxation. With the aid of scholarships, Meg Shields furthered her tax education and undertook the Enrolled Agents exam. The Enrolled Agents exam is given once a year with a pass rate of a mere 13% to 20%. When Meg passed the four part exam, she became one of 40,000 Enrolled Agents nationwide, licensed by the United States Treasury Department to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, specializing in tax. Meg Shields holds the EA license in such high esteem that she wanted to give back to other EA’s and thus began her foray into volunteer work. During the 2004 and 2005 year, Meg Shields was elected by her peers to the Orange County Society of Enrolled Agents Board of Directors, as their Information Awareness Chairperson. As such, she implemented programs and low cost campaigns to further educate the American public about Enrolled Agents. Currently she lives with her two children and boyfriend, who by the way, is not only charming, charismatic, witty, and uncommonly intelligent-- he is responsible for creating this entire site. © 2007 Bill's Tax Service | ||
