Although Meg Shields received her Tax Preparers License in 1998, she strove to increase her knowledge of taxation. With the aid of scholarships, Meg Shields furthered her tax education and undertook the Enrolled Agents exam. The Enrolled Agents exam is given once a year with a pass rate of a mere 13% to 20%. When Meg passed the four part exam, she became one of 40,000 Enrolled Agents nationwide, licensed by the United States Treasury Department to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, specializing in tax. Meg Shields holds the EA license in such high esteem that she wanted to give back to other EA’s and thus began her fore into volunteer work. During the 2004 and 2005 year, Meg Shields was elected by her peers to the Orange County Society of Enrolled Agents Board of Directors, as their Information Awareness Chairperson. As such, she implemented programs and low cost campaigns to further educate the American public about Enrolled Agents. Currently she lives with her two children and boyfriend, who by the way, is not only charming, charismatic, witty, and uncommonly intelligent-- he is responsible for creating this entire site. © 2007 Bill's Tax Service | ||
